#1 It is fun to be a new Aunt!!!

I wanted to save the best news for last, so this announcement is a bit delayed, but....

Announcing little "JP"!!!

Born May 2, 2007 at 6:30 IST. He was a healthy 9lbs 11oz. Yippee!!

The Baileys are truly enjoying their new life together!! A picture worth 1000 words, so here are thousands of words!!!

They chose a special and meaningful name for their son. How did you choose your children's names?

Anna means "gracious" and Lauryn means "crowned". Our prayer for Anna is that her gracious spirit would be a light that gives glory to God, and that in parenting her we might also grow in understanding God's grace and how to mirror that to others.

Dillon means faithful, and James is a family name. Our prayer is that Dillon would be a faithful Christ-follower, and that in parenting him we would be reminded of God's faithfulness.

What is your prayer for your children??

What a cutie. What are the initials J.P. for?

My kids have names we love in the Bible. And, their middle names are from family so they know they have roots.
Noah - Prophet who built the arc - means "peaceful" or "long-lived." Middle name Matthew is his Dad's first name, meaning "Gift of the Lord."

Samuel - Prophet who heard God calling to him as a young boy- means "told by God." Middle name Craig is his Grandpa's middle name, meaning "Rock".

Madelyn - a variation of Magdalen -means "woman from Magdala," the well known woman from here was Mary who was the first to see the resurrected Christ and his devoted disciple. Middle name Lee is shared by both of her Grandmas as their middle names too, means "pasture" or "meadow".

What a great post...I loved reading about your kids names and seeing a cute baby!

Congratulations! Great news!
What does JP stand for?

We love Hebrew names and their descriptive nature.
Micah means "He who is like the Lord". We pray that he would become more like Him every day. We also love the prophecies and words from the book of Micah. Our Micah was born at Christmas time, so I love how the prophet Micah prophesied the birth of Christ in Bethlehem.

Joel means "The Lord is God". Such a powerful statement . Our prayer is that he would proclaim this message.
